New Mottingham Village Sign Unveiled

Bob was delighted to attend the unveiling of the new Mottingham Village sign recently.

The sign is inspired by Mottingham’s most famous former resident, the cricketer W.G. Grace.

After the event Bob said:

“Mottingham is a community with a strong sense of identity and still keeps the feel of being a village. It’s particularly appropriate that portrays W.G. Grace who is of course one of Mottingham’s most famous former residents. I managed to mention him in my maiden speech to parliament so it’s good to see that we’ll have a permanent reminder of his connection with our area.

All credit must go to Mottingham Residents Association and to local councillors Roger Charsely and Charles Rideout for their initiative in pushing this project forward.”
